Welcome to the ratings page. Each day you will find the
PB4U Ratings for the races that we consider worth an interest.
The ratings are unique in that they are created with placebetting
specifically in mind (though as you will see, they also highlight many
winners as well!). The selections provided for clients to the subscriber
service come from these same figures. Happy punting to all!

The PB4U Ratings

Our ratings are not intended to be followed in any specific way but are posted, at the request of several clients, to be used as part of your own betting approach.

The figures are certainly very accurate though, and regularly flag up winners and placed horses as well as the odd forecast and tricast, making them a powerful part of any betting strategy.

Only the top three or four
in the ratings are listed for each appropriate race. It would be far too time consuming to post ratings for every horse and those with the credentials to be players will be in this group.

The horses to concentrate on are the top two, with a particular emphasis on the top rated, which have a good strike rate as can be seen from the recent results page. The on-course betting market is often a good guide as to which may have the better place claims

Remember, you are betting to a place. Generally, a value bet with Betfair can be had around the 7/2-4/1+ mark, but it really doesn’t pay long term to be going much less than 1.8 about any of your selections.

Ratings are only posted for races where there appears to be a decent betting edge.

The going indicated is the forecast going used in
compiling the ratings.
If the going at race time has changed the rating should be disregarded.
